'Become a Legislator for a Day' Reading Contest Winners In Statehouse Today

COLUMBUS—State Representative Peter Beck (R-Mason) and Jarrod B. Martin (R-Beavercreek) today will host winners of the ‘Become a Legislator for a Day’ Reading Contest at the Ohio Statehouse.  The contest spanned the month of December and partnered with the Mason, Springboro, Franklin, Lebanon, Beavercreek, Fairborn and Xenia Public Libraries to help promote the importance of reading throughout the districts.  The ‘Become a Legislator for a Day’ Reading Contest encouraged students to read more than 13,000 pages during the course of the month. 


Representatives Beck and Martin will host 12 students in Columbus today from 10:30-2:45.


Statehouse media are welcome to join the winners in the House chamber for a mock legislative session from 11-12 p.m. The participating students are:
