Republican candidate for the 47th District Ohio House seat Phil Barbosa officially will kick off his May primary campaign outside One Government Center at 4 p.m., Wednesday March 31.

"This campaign is about bringing jobs to Northwest Ohio,” said Barbosa. “We must do what is necessary to help businesses succeed—whether it’s a large industrial employer or small mom-and-pop shop. Private enterprise and small businesses create jobs, not governments. But we can restore an atmosphere in Toledo and across the state that welcomes investment and expansion, not drives businesses and jobs away."

Barbosa is a native Toledoan who has spent a lifetime, both personally and professionally, actively working to strengthen our neighborhoods, volunteering to serve his hometown, and leading local and statewide service organizations.
