Amherst, OH—Local business, Mama Jo Pies, had an additional baker on Monday. State Rep. Terry Boose (R-Norwalk) heard the concerns of the small business, and witnessed firsthand the daily challenges and opportunities that present themselves.
“It was very encouraging to see my state representative take the time to visit and learn firsthand what I go through on a day-to-day basis,” said Johanna Mann, owner of Mama Jo Pies. “With the economy hurting, small business owners worry about their future. We need lawmakers who will take the time to listen to the small business owners in Ohio so that they can help create a more business-friendly environment.”
“Small business owners are the backbone of our state and local economies,” Boose said. “Shadowing Mrs. Mann help me to gain a better understanding of the many concerns that small businesses have in this tough economy. My experience at the bakery proved that it’s really not easy as pie.”
