COLUMBUS—State Representative Barbara Sears (R-Monclova Twp.) has received the endorsement of the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association Political Action Committee (OMA-PAC) for her re-election to the Ohio House in the 47th District.
“Our goal is to help elect the most qualified candidates to protect and grow Ohio manufacturing,” said OMA president Eric Burkland. “With this endorsement, we’ve taken an important step in accomplishing that goal. Rep. Sears supports the issues that are important to Ohio manufacturers and their employees and understands that a strong manufacturing sector leads to a healthier economy, good jobs and improved quality of life for all Ohioans. We are pleased to support her.”
Candidate endorsements are made by the OMA-PAC board of directors based on a variety of factors, including voting records and OMA member support in the district.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement from the Ohio Manufacturer’s Association,” Sears said. “As I work with my colleagues in the General Assembly to continue improving Ohio’s economic stability and to promote job creation, it is encouraging that organizations like the OMA share these goals and are eager to help us achieve them.”
The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association is a volunteer-driven organization of more than 1,400 large, medium and small-sized member companies that serves as the voice of manufacturers in the Ohio General Assembly and before state regulatory agencies.
